Leopard Photo Licensed to Vanity Fair Magazine

I am so excited to see my work on the pages of Vanity Fair magazine! My photo of a leopard taken this past June near Sasaab camp in northern Kenya was licensed for print in the Aug 18 release of the Italian edition.

Vicious, but shy

Leopards are solitary cats and generally try to avoid contact with humans. For 10 days we tried to find and photograph the elusive cats with no luck until the last 20 minutes of our very last game drive before heading back to the US. Our spotter found a female walking on the ground towards a pool of water. After stopping for a drink, she climbed up the tree and was surveying the vast acreage as I captured her portrait.
