I am so excited to have a photo featured next month in The Telegraph’s Travel section. This photo of the Serengeti lion, affectionately named Bob Marley for his dreadlocked mane, was taken in early 2016. We discovered him and his brother, Ziggy, sleeping on the kopjes, and made the decision to stay and wait, hoping for a glimpse of Bob’s famous mane. At sunset and after nearly 3 hours of waiting, we were about to leave the two sleeping lions per park guidelines, when the two rose and gave us 5 minutes of portraits in the most remarkable sunset light.
